At least 27 people have been killed and 63 others injured, many of them critically, after a devastating fire tore through a popular pub in Bangkok, Thailand.
The fire broke out late Sunday night at an entertainment venue in Bangkok's Chatuchak district while the establishment was crowded with patrons. Witnesses reported seeing flames spread rapidly through the building, causing panic as customers attempted to escape.
Emergency response teams, firefighters, and medical personnel rushed to the scene, where they battled the blaze and rescued survivors trapped inside the building.
Victims Hospitalised
Authorities confirmed that dozens of those injured suffered severe burns and smoke inhalation. Several victims remain in critical condition and are receiving treatment in hospitals across the Thai capital.
Rescue operations continued for several hours as emergency crews searched the damaged building to ensure no one remained trapped inside.
Investigation Underway
Police and fire investigators have launched an inquiry into the cause of the blaze. Authorities are also examining whether the venue complied with fire safety regulations, including emergency exits, occupancy limits, and firefighting equipment requirements.
