Reports indicate deterioration as doctors intervene amid heightened concern
Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju has reportedly been rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Karen Hospital after his condition deteriorated, according to emerging reports from multiple media and social media sources.

The development comes amid growing concern over his health, with earlier reports indicating that Tuju was placed on oxygen support after his condition worsened while in police custody at the Karen Police Station.

According to eyewitness accounts and circulating videos, the former Jubilee Party Secretary-General appeared weak and was seen receiving medical attention, including oxygen and intravenous support, before being attended to by doctors.

Medical personnel from Karen Hospital were later reported to have been dispatched to attend to him, reflecting the seriousness of his condition and the urgency of the intervention.

Tuju’s health concerns come shortly after a period of uncertainty surrounding his whereabouts, which had sparked public attention and prompted intervention from security agencies. His reappearance was followed by immediate medical attention after he reportedly complained of complications.

Sources indicate that his condition may have required closer monitoring, prompting his transfer to a higher level of care at the ICU. Further updates on his condition are expected as medical teams continue to monitor and manage his recovery.
