Two workers remain trapped while two others have been rescued after a 22-storey building under construction partially collapsed in Westlands, Nairobi, on Wednesday night, as emergency teams continue search and rescue operations.  The Kenya Red Cross said four workers were at the site when part of the structure gave way, with two escaping unhurt and two still unaccounted for beneath the rubble.  Rescue teams, including Red Cross responders and other emergency services, were deployed to the scene along School Lane in the Westlands area shortly after the incident, and operations were ongoing as of Thursday morning.  “Response teams remain on site conducting search and rescue operations,” the agency said, noting that the condition of the trapped workers had not yet been established.  Authorities have since cordoned off the area to allow emergency personnel to work, urging the public to keep away as efforts to reach those trapped continue.  The cause of the partial collapse has not yet been determined, with investigations expected once rescue operations are complete.  The incident adds to a series of recent building collapses in Kenya, including another collapse in Kericho County on the same day and a deadly demolition-related collapse earlier this week in Nairobi, raising renewed concerns about construction safety and regulatory enforcement.
