Internal Security Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo has urged Kenyans to follow President William Ruto’s example in promoting national cohesion and moving beyond tribal-based politics.

Promoting Unity and Equitable Development

During the burial ceremony of the mother of Nyando MP Jared Okello in Kisumu, PS Omollo highlighted the government’s sizable development projects, which are being implemented equitably across the country regardless of political affiliations. "We are talking of projects exceeding Ksh.220 billion in Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, and Migori. This is a historic level of investment, reflecting President Ruto’s deliberate leadership. These projects are distributed across North Eastern, the Coast, Central, and other regions," he stated.

Omollo emphasized the importance of unity and cohesion, noting that the President’s developmental focus extends beyond his regional base. "We have a President who is not only developing his region but ensuring that opportunities reach all Kenyans, fostering national unity," he added.

In line with this inclusive approach, the government remains committed to the uniform distribution of development projects. Omollo also called on Kenyans to prioritize dialogue, especially when dissatisfied with government decisions. Constructive engagement, he argued, could pave the way for win-win solutions that do not destabilize the economy.

Furthermore, the PS highlighted recent successes, such as the hiring of 100,000 teachers, with an additional 20,000 set to be recruited. "If we followed previous administrations’ methods, it could have taken us up to 20 years to achieve what we have in just three years," he remarked, underscoring the government's accelerated progress.
