A shocking video circulating on social media has ignited a firestorm of condemnation after individuals wearing Wiper Patriotic Front branded caps were filmed brutally assaulting a man in broad daylight . The attackers, an aspirant for Kibwezi MP, a nominated MCA, planned and attacked a young man "MBICHWA" who were heard chanting "Kalonzo must be respected," chased their victim through the streets of Kibwezi in a scene that has raised serious questions about political intolerance as the 2027 campaign season nears.

The footage shows a man being cornered and beaten by a group of goons for allegedly expressing dissent against Wiper Party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka. Desperate to escape, the victim is seen sprinting into a nearby hotel to seek refuge.
The situation could have turned fatal were it not for the bravery of a heroic lady at the establishment. The woman is seen shielding the man and standing her ground against the aggressive goons, preventing them from dragging him back out to the street.

The incident has drawn sharp criticism from local leaders, most notably Hon. Felix Mambo, the outspoken Mavoko MP aspirant and activist. Taking to his Facebook page, Mambo drew a direct parallel to the recent attack on Senator Godfrey Osotsi, where suspects were apprehended within hours.

"We demanded the arrest of the goons who attacked Hon. Senator Osotsi and within hours they were arrested. Now we expect the same swift action," Mambo posted. "Worse still, the goons used my party leader's name... while shouting that 'Kalonzo must be respected.' This is not the Wiper way."

Mambo’s sentiment reflects a growing concern that "political hirelings" are hiding behind the names of senior leaders to settle scores and intimidate ordinary citizens.
This incident follows a string of high-profile political attacks in April 2026, including the widely reported assault on Senator Osotsi that saw 17 goons captured on CCTV. Residents of Kibwezi are now calling on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to use the clear video evidence to identify and arrest the attackers seen in the hotel footage.
