Tubi Mohamed Tubi of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has been elected the new Member of Parliament for Isiolo South after winning the by-election with a huge margin.

According to official results announced by the electoral body, Tubi received 7,352 votes, defeating his closest rival, Bina Tubi of the Jubilee Party, who garnered 634 votes.

Speaking shortly after being declared the winner, Tubi thanked the voters for their strong support.

“I am deeply grateful to the people of Isiolo South for trusting me with this responsibility. This victory is not mine alone  it belongs to all of us,” he said.

He promised to focus on development projects, improve infrastructure, and address key issues affecting residents.

“My priority is to unite our people and work hard to bring real change. The time for politics is over; now it is time for service,” he added.
Bina Tubi congratulated the winner and thanked supporters for standing by her during the campaign period.

“We may not have won, but we are proud of the effort we made. I appreciate everyone who voted for me and believed in our agenda,” she said.

The by-election was conducted peacefully, with residents turning out to exercise their democratic right. Electoral officials praised voters for maintaining calm throughout the process.

The victory strengthens UDA’s presence in the region as the new MP prepares to take office.
