Nairobi, Kenya — 20 February 2026
The Judiciary of Kenya has said that the late Dorothy Muoma was never a magistrate. Some posts on social media claimed she worked in the courts, but the Judiciary says these claims are false.
In a statement on 19 February 2026, spokesperson Paul Ndemo said Muoma was never employed by the Judiciary or appointed as a magistrate. The statement also offered condolences to her family.
