Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with two additional counts of rape, bringing the total number of charges against him to seven rape counts and one sexual assault charge. The latest development was confirmed by UK prosecutors following further investigations by the Metropolitan Police.
The new charges reportedly relate to an alleged incident dating back to 2020 and involve a separate complainant. Prior to this, Partey had already been facing five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault linked to alleged incidents said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022. The allegations involve multiple women.
Partey, 32, has previously denied the earlier charges and is expected to formally respond to the additional counts in court. His trial has been scheduled for November 2026 at Southwark Crown Court in London, where all charges are expected to be heard together. He is also set to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court in the coming weeks in relation to the new allegations.
Under his current bail conditions, Partey is required to comply with specific restrictions, including notifying authorities ahead of any international travel and refraining from contacting the complainants.
The Ghanaian international left Arsenal in 2025 following the expiration of his contract and has since continued his professional career abroad. Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, he maintains his innocence, and his legal representatives have stated that he is cooperating fully with authorities.
As the case moves toward trial in late 2026, further court proceedings are expected to determine the next steps in what has become a high-profile legal matter involving the former Premier League midfielder.
