
"The use of live bullets on peaceful citizens is unacceptable," said a statement from the opposition. "A government scared of its people has no legitimacy. Mr. William Ruto, you have chosen a path traveled by a few African dictators, and you know what befell them when their time came."
Protesters, undeterred by the crackdown, vowed to continue fighting for their rights. "Teargas, bullets, and all weapons that exist cannot extinguish the will of the people of Kenya," they declared.
