Kenya and Morocco have signed 11 new agreements aimed at boosting trade, attracting investment, and creating jobs, marking a major step in strengthening economic ties and accelerating growth in key sectors.

The deals, signed during the inaugural Kenya–Morocco Joint Commission for Cooperation in Nairobi, target critical areas including agriculture, health, education, blue economy, fisheries, and industrial development.

Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi said the agreements will “unlock new opportunities for growth and shared prosperity” by strengthening trade ties and boosting investment flows between the two countries.

The framework also prioritizes enhanced air connectivity, skills exchange, and collaboration in ICT and cultural sectors—moves expected to deepen economic integration and policy coordination.

Officials emphasized that effective implementation will be key to translating the agreements into tangible outcomes, with both nations committing to structured monitoring under the Joint Commission.

The agreements mark a significant step in expanding Kenya–Morocco relations, positioning both countries to leverage strategic partnerships for long-term development and regional influence.
